      • Convection roast - optimal for larger cuts of meat, this setting rotates the heat around all sides, sealing in the juices, producing rotisserie results at up to 25% faster than a conventional oven
      • Two speed gas convection oven - circulated convection heat can be delivered at a high speed for heavy foods or a low speed for more delicate foods to enhance the baking or roasting results
      • Extra-large oven capacity - ideal for special occasions and big meals, the extra large oven interior allows more to cook at once
      • Self-cleaning oven - self-clean allows you to spare yourself from the trouble and effort it takes to scrub the oven interior
      • Gas-on-glass cooktop - ceramic glass surface looks sleek and is incredibly easy to wipe clean
      • Convection bake - bake and broil elements, combined with a reversing fan, create evenly browned results

Cooks evenly and heats up super fast!

This oven was a pleasant surprise. We went from electric to gas and I'm so glad we did. This oven heats up so quickly and cooks evenly. The burners also heat up quickly. My husband wanted a griddle and that was one of the reasons we chose this model. The gridlle is small - you can fit four pieces of bread for french toast but cleans up really quick.

      Nice range but....
Nice range with some big flaws. Beware, the oven vents out a grill in the center of the cooktop. I have a white glass cooktop and whenever I use the oven it deposits a brown film on the cooktop that covers a 3" radius around the vent. This requires removing the cooktop grates and using their special cleaning product to clean. Pain in the neck. Very poor design. Also, the white model comes with a glass front control panel. Crud collected under the edges of the glass and was visible since the panel is clear around the edges (orange tomato sauce, green spinach, etc). We had to remove the panel to clean out the crud, then put silicon caulk around the panel to stop crud from getting stuck underneath. I called GE about both of these problems and they said that neither were flaws with my range. I should add I'm not a particularly neat and tidy person so I try to avoid purchases that require extra work to keep things looking nice. Other than that the range works fine.

The GE Profile Slide In Gas Range is a baker's dream

Who would think an appliance would be on the top of my things to rave about with our remodel, but this oven has made baking desserts and a meats an absolute dream. My food browns beautifully and cooks evenly. The temperature setting is calibrated perfectly. I love it.

Delivery of GE Slide -in Gas Range

I have not used the range yet but my review is for the positive experience with delivery. The delivery was on time and the delivery people were curteous and repectful of my home. The first range was delivered with damage. The problem was handled on the spot and a new range was delivered the following week. Very grateful.

Poor quality - 2 major repairs in 4 years

We purchased this for about in 2008. In 2011 first the bottom ignitor failed and now the top ignitor has failed. Each repair cost $200. GE was unwilling to help defray the cost since we had not purchased an extended warranty.  I expect better quality and service from a high priced applance.

      Do not Recommend this Range

We had this unit installed 8/4/2010. The touch pad that controls the oven failed. GE Service has been here 4 times. Replaced the touch pad 3 times (3 different touch pads) and the control unit twice. Still no oven...Not happy..

      Returning it

This range looks great, but I am very disappointed in the performance. It takes almost 1/2 hour for the oven to warm up, and the programmed temp is often "off" by 50 degrees (ie, if I program it to 450, it will "beep" ready at 400 degrees). I am so disappointed - this is my third try with this model. I'm getting an Electrolux next!!

      Easy to use

I have had the stove for a couple of weeks now and so far it is great. I followed the directions and treated the top with the special glass cleaner before using the stove and so far it cleans up easily. Temperature seems true, I've already baked a pie and the time was right on and I've used the convection for baking chicken and it worked great. The stove controls are easy to use, I've had to look up a few things (like the control lock out for cleaning) but they were simple once I read the directions. We have all white appliances with a white marble zodiac countertop and the stove looks great surrounded by the zodiac. I have not had a problem with dirt collecting around the oven vent when I bake. The only negatives for me are that at 38" the cook top is quite high, I am short and it is hard for me to reach the back burners, and I would have preferred that the grates were black cast iron and not grey porcelean. Past experience tells me that over time the porcelean gets stained and is hard to clean.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Looks and cooks great!

The stove has been installed about a month now and so far I love it. I have used the special glass cleaner that was included with the stove twice, once to treat the top before using it and then once more since when I cooked bacon and got grease all over the top. The top cleans very easily, I just wipe it after each use - haven't had to use any elbow grease to get it clean. The temperatures seem true, I've baked a couple of pies using non-convection and cooked chicken several times using convection and it worked great. The stove controls are easy to use, I've had to look up a few things (like the control lock out for cleaning) but they were simple once I read the directions. We have all white appliances with a white marble quartz countertop and the stove looks great surrounded by the quartz. I have not had a problem with dirt collecting around the oven vent when I bake. The only negatives for me are that at 38" the cooktop is quite high for me, I am short and it is hard for me to reach the back burners; and I would have preferred that the grates were black cast iron and not grey porcelean. Past experience tells me that over time the porcelean gets stained and is hard to clean. Would have been a 5 if not for these two things.

      Nice modern design but....

I am not the cook but I clean the kitchen. It will take time cleaning the glass cooktop with special glass ceramic cleaner and maybe a scraper for burnt on grease but I guess when something looks as good as this unit, you want to keep it clean as the day you bought it. This baby boils water fast. The grates looses it's blackness and grease sticks on the burner and vent cap. Minor blemishes over time. I can't say anything about my wife's cooking but it's never been better. I'll try to silicon the crevice on the control panel before I experience what the previous reviewer had to go through.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
